-What's your name, brand name & what sort of products will you be bringing to Indie Expo Canada?
I’m Jennalyn (Jenna) Miller, I own LynBDesigns and I make nail polish, jewelry, wax melts, and cosmetics.

-Is this your first time participating in Indie Expo Canada?
I planned on going last year, but there was a mix up so I was o my able to send some of my polish. So short answer, yes.

-Will you be attending in person?
Yes!

-Why'd you pick the name you did for your brand?
Way back in high school I fancied myself a fashion designer and wanted a name for my brand. I took the last part of my first name and my middle initial and I design things. My fashion career didn’t pan out (I can’t sew)

-What other names did you have in mind?
This was the first name I had in mind. I’ve thought of a few since, but I really like my brand.

-What's your favourite discontinued product as well as your favourite available product from your brand?
Let That Shiitake go from December 2018 PPU is my favorite retired product. So many flakies! My favorite current polish is from a newer collection. I’m absolutely in love with my polish Here Today, Gone To Maui from my Mani Masterpieces pt2

-What led you to creating your own products? Was it to have your own brand or to just create things for yourself?
To start it was to give myself variety. I had one store in my town and the polish election was super limited. So I started making my own to fill the gaps in my collection.

-How long have you been in this business? Is it a side hustle or full time job for you?
I’ve been making since 2011 and it’s pretty much been my full time job since the start.

-What other interests/hobbies do you enjoy?
I love photography, shopping, and playing the Sims. I’m a lady of simple pleasures.

-What's one product that'll be at the show that you would recommend to anyone/everyone? & Why did you chose that product?
That’s a tough one. Taste in polish is so personal, but I think I’d go with my show exclusive Toque My Breath Away. It has a little something for everyone. Flakies, thermal, holo, shimmer

-Being in this sort of business must be extremely competitive, what are some dilemmas you've faced?
The two biggest problems are over saturation and competitive pricing.

-What keeps you doing what you do everyday?
I love to be the boss and I love being my own boss. I also love working in an environment that promotes creativity.

-What's your favourite part about attending events, compared to online sales?
I’ve only attended one real nail polish event so I don’t really have any favorite parts yet. Here’s hoping that changes after IEC.

-Do you have any advice you'd like to give others in your line of business?
Don’t force yourself. Let creativity guide you. If I make a polish and I’m not inspired by it it inevitably does worse than one I’m inspired by.

-Where do you want your business to be in two years?
I want my business to have a steady flow of sales so I can make it to more shows and meet more customers/fans.

-Lastly, please tell me one thing you'd like fans of Indie Expo Canada to know?
I’m an introverted bean and an excited/nervous to be in Canada for the first time.
