BoxyCharm October 2018 Review

BoxyCharm is a monthly subscription box jam packed with 5-6 full size makeup & beauty products. It also happens to be one of my absolute favourite beauty subscription's out there. They always provide a high value compared to the actual cost of the box. Around this time every month I find myself continuously checking my tracking code in hopes that delivery day finally arrives, the anticipation kills me! If you're in the market for a monthly subscription to beauty products, I highly recommend this one. Now, lets get into the products!
BoxyCharm 2018
Briogeo Don't Despair Repair! Leave-In Mask was an item I couldn't wait to get my hands on, I have previously tried samples and fell in love. I tend to get dry hair, especially in the colder months and during just a short period of time,  my hair noticeably was much smoother and healthier. Most leave-in conditioners tend to weigh down your hair or leave a residue, this on the other hand does not, it is a product I have loved for some time now, all in all, I was quite pleased to have received this in my October BoxyCharm.
Briogeo: Don't Despair, Repair! Leave-in Mask
Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick: Bow N Arrow is very pigmented and long lasting. I own quite a few Kat Von D products including her lipsticks, her shade ranges are nice, i'm excited to add Bow N Arrow to my collection. BoxyCharm has been adding more and more big makeup brands and I cant get enough of it!

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara was an item that I couldn't wait to try, I love this brand and all that they stand for. The bye bye under eye concealer is what led me to this brand, I personally am starting to venture off into their skin care item which I have heard wonderful things about. This mascara not only promises to curl your lashes but it also claims that it conditions as well as lengthens them which I found to be shockingly true, I must also mention how nicely separated my lashes were after to coats. I guess time will tell just how conditioning this formula is for my lashes.
Dermovia: Black Bamboo Charcoal Peel Off Mask
Dermovia: Black Bamboo Charcoal Peel Off Mask is an odd item, there are two parts to this mask, one of which is a gel and the other is literally a sheet of lace with eye, nose and mouth holes cut out. I ALWAYS try to ignore negative reviews to try products for myself, but in this case I unfortunately will not be testing this product on my skin. I have seen a few negative reviews on this mask which are all claiming that they encountered chemical burns, I even watched an innocent live video of a fellow makeup lover testing out the product and saw first hand what this mask did to her. Don't get me wrong, I love BoxyCharm and I am sure this brand has some great products and I am a firm believer that not all products have the same effect on everybody, but I cannot risk any long lasting redness or bubbling on the skin. Unfortunately this product is a no for me.
Pur: The Complection Authority Midnight Masquerade Palette

Face Shades

Eye Shades
Pur: The Complexion Authority Midnight Masquerade Palette has me in absolute awe. These colours performed beautifully, the pigmentation was there, the colour assortment is perfect, absolutely no fallout and I cant even get over how creamy they are. I have found the previous Pur palettes don't compare to this one, I do enjoy them, just not as much as this one. I've said it before and i'll say it again, I live for face palettes! Having potentially 3-4 different palettes in one is so convenient. Reaching for this palette in the future is a given, and you will most certainly be seeing some great looks using this palette, cant wait to dive in!

My final thoughts on this months box are as follows, once again I am very pleased, 4 out of the 5 products I received will be used. I am blown away by the Pur palette's performance and the Kat Von D lippie will come in handy for some upcoming fall looks. The total value of this box was 134.00, cant't go wrong for only 30$ (Canada, 21$ in the U.S.).
