Huda Nude Palette| Review, Swatches & Try-On

I just had to get my hands on the Huda Nude Palette, from the moment I heard of it's release I had been counting down the days until it was finally available. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I am OBSESSED with anything glitter, and this palette has tons of it. I am a fan of Huda's products and I find them to be quite consistent, so my expectations for this palette are high. There are a few glitter shades in here that are so intriguing to me, they almost look like there are large white flakes of glittery goodness packed into one stunning shade, which I have never seen before. My love for Huda and shiny things took over and I splurged on this 85$ palette, below you'll see some swatches, eye looks and my thoughts on the formula, enjoy!<3

Ever since the Rose Gold Palette, anything that Huda releases is super hyped. The Huda Nude Palette was no exception and I cant even begin to tell you how excited I was to receive this. The packaging is STUNNING, it feels luxurious, the colours match the shades inside, the mirror is always a plus and the gold metallic outline on the writing just tops it all off.

The Huda Nude Palette boasts 18 gorgeous nude/mauve shades, its accompanied by 5 ready to-layer textures, 10 buttery mattes, 4 multi-reflective shadows, 2 pressed glitters, 1 pressed pearl and even 1 concealer base. At first glance, I noticed some white flecks in the multi-reflective shades which caught me off guard, I have never seen anything like this in a palette and I was so intrigued. The pressed glitter shades(Excite & Infatuated) were calling my name, glitters can be tricky and messy so swatching these shades immediately were a must for me! The colour story in this palette is spot on, I love the look of it, the possibility of looks to be made with the Nude palette look endless and if the quality is nearly as good as Huda's other shadows, then it might just be dubbed my new favourite palette.

Can I just have a minute to take this in? How GORGEOUS are these shades?! For these shadows I decided to put them to the test by only swirling my finger around once and passing only twice on my arm so that you can really see how pigmented each shade is. The mattes are oh so creamy and blendable and the reflective shades almost look wet. The pressed glitters have me speechless, not only did they swatch amazingly but after, I noticed that all the glitter completely transferred to my arm leaving absolutely no glitter left on my finger. This is one of those palettes that pictures don't do justice to, even as amazing as it looks, you really need to see it in person.

I couldn't resist doing a couple looks using the multi-reflective shades and of course the pressed glitters. The first look I was going for more of a nude shimmery look and the shadows performed beautifully. My transition and crease shades were very easy to blend, I had no patchiness and the colours didn't get muddy during the blending. For my second look I had to showcase the glitters, I used the concealer shade that came in the palette to cut my crease and was slightly disappointed, mind you I am picky when it comes to concealers, but unfortunately it just didn't work for me so I just threw Hudas concealer on top which ended up working out. The colour combos I used( Play, Lace, Love Bite, Day Dream, Infatuated) were the most eye catching and inspiring to me so it only felt right to try a couple looks with them.

Overall, It's everything I was hoping for and more. It's a bit pricey at $65-$85 depending on your country, but in my opinion, it's totally worth it. The quality of the shadows as well as the packaging are top notch, very high quality and extremely consistent. The concealer shade did not work for me, but that doesn't mean it wont work for you. The mix of warm and cool hues were perfectly executed and I feel as though Huda created the perfect nude palette. I've had the Nude Palette for a week or so now and have reached for it every day since. Thanks for reading, Samantha<3
