First Impressions: The Nail Bazaar

I like to support newcomers to the Indie Polish world whenever I can, so when I received a message from The Nail Bazaar via Instagram offering me a special discount to try their polishes I was happy to use that as an excuse to break my polish no buy and treat myself to a couple of their collection to try!  I also felt special as this was the first time anyone reached out to me based on my Instagram content!

I ordered from the Etsy shop that day and shipping was fast. It was just a few short days for them to arrive.  They were nice and safely packaged and the colours appeared to be just as pictured and expected.  I am partial to a square bottle design, so I liked the look of the polishes right away.   The nude colour, Barely There,  was the polish I was excited for as I only have a few good nude bases in my collection of polish.  The first coat was a little uneven, so it did take two to completely cover which is expected with a light colour.  Due to my very ridged nails even with a Ridge Filling Base Coat, I would probably need a third coat to wear this alone.

I wanted a sweater look so instead of using the Aries polish as an accent nail I decided to stamp with it instead.  It has more of a jelly base and would take 2-3 coats to be opaque but I did like this look.  I finished it off with a matte top coat, and was happy with the result.

The Nail Bazaar polishes are 5 Free, Vegan and Cruelty Free and reasonably priced at just $15 CAN, regular price (on for $10 / 30% off right now).  The shop also offers what looks to be press on nail sets you can buy.  The Shop does not currently ship to Canada, so unless you have a PO Box in the US like me, you would have to contact the owner to find out your options.
Overall first impression was good, I'm happy with my purchases and it's definitely a Shop I will keep an eye on for upcoming and new collections to see where they go from here.

Check out The Nail Bazaar on Instagram, Facebook and Etsy.
