Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Trio | Review, Swatches & Try On

I love everything glitter, sometimes I get carried away while going for a natural looking smokey eye and before I know it, I've got glitter down to my shoulders. I don't discriminate when it comes to glitter, chunky glitter, micro glitter, body glitter and even craft glitter catch my eye and for some reason I just gotta have it! One thing I have learned during my sparkly obsession is that some glitter liquid shadows are just better than others! Stila is well known for their Magnificent Medals Collections, I absolutely adore the Shimmer & Glow so I figured trying the  Oh My Stars Glitter & Glow is an absolute must.
Stila Oh My Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow | Kitten Karma
Lets start with the packaging, they come in a rectangle tube with gold accents including their brands name. Its simple, but that's what I love about about this packaging. They are so easy to organize on a vanity because they fit well together, I almost always prefer either square or rectangle packaging for that reason, sometimes when items are rounded or circular they just don't present as well. The price point is not bad in my opinion, its only 33$ for the set of 3. I always love having the option to buy mini's in sets because you get more shades for cheaper which allows you to try more for less, I also find it hard to get use out of the full sized items because each time a new shade is released I act on impulse, buy them and can never get through a full tube.

As you can see, they come with a paddle shaped applicator instead of a doe foot. I personally never use the applicators with most liquid shadows just because I prefer to use a brush for a more precise application. Although I never use the applicator to apply on my eyes, I thought it was only necessary to use it for swatches to see how it preformed on the skin. Each shade in the packaging looks very opaque, which was exciting to me as I totally love a super shiny and almost wet looking lid.

These liquid shadows have a very thin consistency which allows you to achieve a more sheer look or can be built up to a more opaque look. After applying, they seemed to dry down only after 5 seconds or so which was great. As you can see, the gold and silver shades have a clear base which I found a bit difficult to wear on their own, they seemed patchy, in order to get the look I was going for I had to apply a matching shadow base or apply a few layers (which got uncomfortable). On the other hand, the pink shade had a shimmery base to it and only needed just under 2 coats for a full-on glitter look. Within a couple hours of wearing Kitten Karma, I noticed fallout, it wasn't horrible, but we all know how hard it can be to clean up glitter fallout!

With all that being said, yes their are some downs to this shadow, but I really do love it. I don't need a glitter glue to apply, there's only minimal fallout after a few hours, they can be used for a sheer look or full on glam, the packaging is easy to stack and organize and they look absolutely gorgeous.
