Make Up For Ever: Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick | Review Time!

Hey Everyone! I recently purchased some Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipsticks from Winners (Probably my favourite retailer). Full disclosure, I'm not the biggest fan of bullet lipsticks, but I know Make Up For Ever is a great brand and I thought this would be a great product to start with.

I'm not sure how many shades there are in this line, but I currently own two: 41 and 52. I wish I could find names for these, but I can't track them down. I'm hoping these lipsticks are still available, but I'm honestly not sure. The lipsticks swatched very well on my arm and lips and have a creamy consistency. They do have a slight floral scent, but it's not an overpowering scent. It's similar to the L'Oreal bullet lipsticks without being so strong that it's hard to wear.

It's very easy to apply these lipsticks because of the shape of the bullet. It's flat without being pointed, so you can get a really crisp line easily without using a lip brush. The shape also makes it easy to line your lips before you apply it all over. It feels creamy on the lips and is slightly heavy which is pretty common for most bullet lipsticks. The scent might be a little much for people who are sensitive to scents, but it didn't bother me at all.

I wore this lipstick for about five hours and it performed really well! Normally with bullet lipsticks I find that it will wear away and leave a weird line of lipstick around my lips, but that never happened with this lipstick. It did wear down slightly, but it looked really good overall by the end of the day. I personally prefer shade 52 because it's more flattering on me and it's slightly more pigmented than 41, but they both perform the exact same way. Another issue I usually find with bullet lipsticks is that they feather on my lips like crazy, but again, these lipsticks stayed put and looked great all day.

All in all, I really like the Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick! I will definitely keep shade 52 in my purse from now on. I went into this thinking I would hate it because I don't like bullet lipsticks at all, but these really surprised me. I really hope they haven't been discontinued, but I know that the Artist Rouge Light has a similar shape to this lipstick so they might be a good option instead. I would recommend this lipstick to everyone! Definitely pick them up at Winners while they're still available!
I'll see you next time~Ariel
