Canadian Haul From Indie Expo Canada!

Today I want to share with you some of the lovely creations I brought home that were made right in our own backyard!  Every year at Indie Expo Canada there are always great Canadian makers, and I just love supporting local and homegrown businesses! Some of these ladies also happen to be some of my favourite people too.

Immediately after meeting Sammy and Mr. Sammy, as we affectionately refer to the couple responsible for Cuter Cuticles, they became two of my favourite people!  They are both so friendly and fun, and the products Sammy creates are amazing.  I use her cuticle oil, barrier butter, lip balm and acetone additive religiously since discovering their existence a year ago.  I am addicted to the Lemon Cupcake scent and she had such an amazing event exclusive for those of us fans of that scent!
In an adorable lemon yellow bag was a cuticle oil, barrier butter and a brand new lip gloss all in Lemon Cupcake (scented AND FLAVOURED!!! yes the lip gloss is edible!), all for $10.  I also picked up some items in Key Lime Pie, my second favourite scent so far.

I wish I had a before shot of my lips, then you'd really be impressed!  I am horrible for biting and pulling at my lips when nervous and with some home improvements going on here lately they were in horrible cracked, scabbed and bleeding shape just a couple weeks ago.  The gloss has definitely helped them heal faster and definitely makes me more prone to licking them then biting!

In attendance for the second year was Fiendish Fancies, who is known for themed unique polishes centred around the horror genre.  I just love the finds in her discount bins full of older collections and test batches!  I think I may have found my new favourite light blue crelly there!  I also love the way she does the VIP bag exclusive.  She makes a few different polishes and it's a surprise to you when you open your bag!  I did a three person exchange to get the one I really wanted this year, which is also a great way to meet other polish enthusiasts!

The first person I ran into at this years Expo was Tanya from My Indie Polish... in the ladies room!  She saw my shirt and introduced herself and was just as sweet as can be!  We spent quite a bit chatting at her table and sniffing her wax products and I could not walk away without bringing home this glitter, Everything But The Kitchen Sink.

I met Trish from Inspired Sense when she was an attendee and volunteer at last years event and I just love her.  She is such a beautiful person and it turns out, a really talented artist and creator!  I was on a mission to pick up her first ever polish release, Poison Apple.  She also makes a whole line of hand and nail care products.

Beyond the Nail was also there for the second year in a row, and in my press/shopping/tutorial confusion I forgot to go back around and shop their table!  Thankfully this little beauty was in my VIP bag so I didn't go home empty handed!

I was introduced to a new brand this year also, Anita has been swatching for them for some time now and I've seen how pretty the polishes are and was excited to own some.   That brand is Paint It Pretty Polish,  just a quick hop down the QEW from me.  For a new indie brand I was shocked to see how many collections of gorgeous polish she already had available!  When I saw this blue flakie polish I could not leave it behind!

Last but not least, is Pam and Girly Bits Cosmetics, the lady behind the whole Indie Expo Canada!  She nailed the VIP polish again this year so hard the only appropriate stamping was a unicorn pooping a diamond!  I already have quite a few Girly Bits items and because I was on a strict budget I did not pick up anything from her table, but I did check out the new release collections and you NEED to check them out too!

And this will conclude my Indie Expo haul posts, there were more items in my bag of course but some I am unable to review due to allergies and the rest are being shared on my Instagram as I use them!
I hope you enjoyed my bragging about all the pretties I brought home and if you did not get to attend this year, I sincerely hope to see you there next year for Indie Expo Canada 2019!~Kelly
