Girly Bits | No-Wipe UV/LED Top Coat & Ultra Holographic Powder

Hey guys! On Sunday me & my bestie went to Indie Expo Canada ! Sadly due to some issues with timing I wasn't able to go early enough to be "Press", however I'll be planning better & doing it next year for sure. I think me & Kelly will just make a weekend out of it & stay in Toronto for the weekend! It was it's first year but man oh man was it good! Due to my no buy, I only picked up a 5 things so let me 2 of the things I bought.

The first two things I bought are something I really wanted mainly because they've been every where on Instagram & youtube. It's the holographic powder that you rub over a specific gel top coat. I seen them online & absolutely had to have them no matter. & Of course when I seen them there I grabbed a half gram of the powder & the special top coat.

So this is how I did my manicure. First I applied Unt's Peel off base coat, I usually wear my manicures for a day & then change them. So this method works best for me, however if you want it to last longer I'd suggested using your regular base coat.
Next I applied two coats of a teal gel polish, & in the picture you can kind of tell that the silver holo is pulling a bit teal, so the base colour you choose will effect it a tiny bit. After curing the teal polish I applied the Girly Bits No Wipe UV/LED top coat ($18.00 CAD) & cured it. Next you'll need a special silicone applicator or you could just use a sponge eyeshadow applicator, you know those things that come in EVERY single palette you buy but never use? Yea one of those. You'll dip it into the Girly Bits Ultra Holochrome Powder (Fine) ($26.75 CAD), easy tho you don't need a lot. Once you have the powder on the applicator all you need to do is rub the powder on your nails. It'll apply a thin & opaque coat of powder, rather quickly. You don't need to put a ton of effort into it. After you're done apply a coat of gel top coat & cure. Super duper simple.

A few tips I have learning how to do the whole gel manicure plus the holo powder technique as a newbie would be, to be very careful when applying the gel. Don't let it near your cuticles or the sides of your nails, because if it touches them & you cure it like that it's not as easy to clean up the way it is with nail polish. Also make sure you're also very careful with just the regular application because if you have bubbles in the gel, the powder shows them very easily.

Once you get the hang of it you can try new things, I did this 3D drip manicure using the top coat & holo powder as well.
